Gunold 1995 Cap Backing
The heaviest fusible interfacing, 95 g/m², is a tear-away – it tears longitudinally, crosswise, and diagonally.
The heavy interfacing has a paper-like feel, high volume, and excellent stability. It provides strong support for the embroidery while remaining easy to tear away after stitching.
It is an excellent alternative to STIFFY 1980 when significantly greater stability is required for an embroidered motif. The tear edges around the embroidery remain clean and precise.
However, more interfacing scraps may remain in open, unstitched areas of the embroidery motif. The time saved by quick tearing away means higher productivity in embroidery.
Advantages:
-
Provides excellent stabilization during washing, ironing, and wear.
-
Supports the embroidery effectively throughout production and subsequent use.
-
Tears away quickly after stitching, reducing finishing time.
-
Faster tear-away processing can increase embroidery productivity.
